First Aid For Children And Infants 12 hours

In many cases the guidelines regarding children’s first aid are different to those for adults.  This recognised course is a must for all those with a responsibility for children.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

Anyone in the position of looking after children’s welfare, including

  • Parents
  • Teachers
  • Playgroup assistants
  • Classroom assistants

COURSE CONTENT

Delegates will receive training in a range of first aid subjects including:-

  • Aims/Principles of First Aid
  • Basic Life Support
  • The Unconscious Child
  • Minor injuries
  • Wounds and Bleeding
  • Burns
  • Fractures
  • Medical Emergencies
  • Asthma
  • Allergic Reactions
  • Head Injury
  • Specific conditions

COURSE OUTCOME

On completion of the course, the delegate will receive a Certificate of Attendance which is valid for 3 years. All delegates also receive a free delegate pack which includes a first aid manual.

A child is aged between 1 and 8 years of age and an infant 0 to 1 years. As defined by the resuscitation Council (UK).
