To provide all suitably qualified delegates with the training and certification required to work within the offshore industry
Potential Candidates must meet the relevant HSE pre course criteria currently State Registered Nurse or military equivalent, HPC state registered paramedics will also be considered subject to relevant experience.
The initial course consists of a combination of interactive theory and practical sessions and clinical placements. Covering the following areas:
A competency book is issued to each student and competencies are signed off by tutors and course mentors.
Some of the competencies can be achieved within the students own workplace or clinical setting for example a Nurse working within a hospital.
There is continual assessment for each module and delegates will be monitored through out the training by the appointed tutor.
There is a written and practical examination at the end of the course.
A separate Certificate will be issued for each of the Following modules Advanced Life Support, Trauma Management, Food Hygiene, Basic Health and Safety, BLS and AED.
The initial course consists of 10 days practical and theory classroom based training followed by clinical placements
The refresher consists of 10 days training including classroom and clinical placements
